FAQ
Questions about our track days
Here you will find answers about participation, cars and the schedule – so you can quickly see which Gentlemen on Track experience suits you.
Is Gentlemen on Track a race?
No. Our events are track days, not competitions. There is no timing, no ranking and no race start. The focus is on driving pleasure, car control and the shared experience on a professional race track.
Who can take part?
Our track days are for drivers who want to take their car onto a race track in a professional, high-quality setting – experienced track day drivers as well as newcomers. A racing licence is generally not required. All you need is a valid driving licence and to follow the rules of the event and the circuit.
Which cars are allowed?
At Gentlemen on Track you will find high-end sports cars, GT cars, track tools as well as cup, challenge and race cars – from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG or BMW M as well as purpose-built race cars. SUVs and formula cars are excluded. Final approval depends on the event and the circuit’s rules; if you are unsure, we are happy to check your car in advance.
How does a track day work?
The day starts with registration and a mandatory driver briefing. Then the track opens in open pit lane format. There are no fixed groups or rigid time slots – you decide when and how long you drive. Depending on your ticket, hospitality, catering, hotel and our evening programme complete the experience.
Is personal coaching available?
Yes. On request you can book individual 1:1 coaching with an experienced motorsport instructor. It is not only about faster lap times, but above all about the right line, braking points, car balance and a safe, controlled driving style.
How is safety ensured?
Before driving starts there is a mandatory driver briefing covering the track rules, flag signals, overtaking and key safety procedures. We also work with the professional safety and track structures of each circuit. The limited number of cars keeps the track clear and orderly.
Are there noise limits?
That depends on the circuit and the booked event day and is stated separately for each event. For our track day at the Red Bull Ring on 26 June 2027 we have booked a day without a dB limit.
Are helmets mandatory?
Yes. Helmets are mandatory for drivers and passengers whenever cars are on track. The helmet must be suitable for use in a car and in good technical condition.
Can I take a passenger?
Yes, with a passenger ticket. The minimum age depends on the event and circuit: 14 at the Red Bull Ring, 16 at Spa-Francorchamps.
What happens in bad weather?
Our events generally go ahead in the rain, too. Changing conditions in particular can be a rewarding driving experience. The circuit or race control decides on track operation and any restrictions.
